{"id":169,"date":"2010-01-20T00:06:27","date_gmt":"2010-01-20T04:06:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/raebelle.wordpress.com\/?p=169"},"modified":"2010-03-01T18:54:21","modified_gmt":"2010-03-01T18:54:21","slug":"staying-organized-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.raebelle.com\/blog\/2010\/01\/20\/staying-organized-home\/","title":{"rendered":"Staying Organized: Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To follow up to my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.raebelle.com\/blog\/2009\/10\/02\/staying-organized-work\/\">Staying Organized: Work<\/a> post, I thought I&#8217;d share the items I use to stay organized at home.\u00c2\u00a0 Many of the items were also listed in my Work post.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s one of pluses of providing so many items of my own for work.\u00c2\u00a0 I get use them all the time!<\/p>\n<h3>Electronic<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/iphone\/\">iPhone<\/a> &#8211; Oh sweet iPhone, how you make my life easier and more fun.\u00c2\u00a0 I still have my white 32GB 3GS.\u00c2\u00a0 Most of my home organization links to my lovely.\u00c2\u00a0 My iPhone is always with me which makes it one of the most important items to help me keep organized no matter where I am.<\/li>\n<li>MacBook &#8211; My Macbook is about 2.5 years old now.\u00c2\u00a0 I bought a MacBook because I hated Microsoft Vista.\u00c2\u00a0 OS X was the lesser of 2 evils.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m on my MacBook almost every single day.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.omnigroup.com\/applications\/omnifocus\">OmniFocus<\/a> &#8211; I use OmniFocus to keep track of all kinds of things.\u00c2\u00a0 I have a section devoted to my personal projects so that I can focus in on them when I&#8217;m not working.\u00c2\u00a0 My bunnies even have their own project.\u00c2\u00a0 I use it to remind myself when it&#8217;s time to order hay, medicine, and treats for them.\u00c2\u00a0 It helps prevent us from running out of anything.\u00c2\u00a0 I use OmniFocus on my iPhone &amp; MacBook<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.omnigroup.com\/applications\/omnioutliner\/\">OmniOutliner<\/a> &#8211; A great list maker!\u00c2\u00a0 I use it track things I&#8217;d like for gifts and my monthly expenses.\u00c2\u00a0 This could only be better if there was an iPhone app for it.\u00c2\u00a0 If I&#8217;m using OmniOutliner, I need more than one column.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/splashdata.com\/splashid\/index.asp\">SplashID<\/a> &#8211; I&#8217;ve been using SplashID from my Palm OS days and I still feel it was one of the best purchases I&#8217;ve ever made!\u00c2\u00a0 It keeps my login information easily accessible from my iPhone or MacBook.\u00c2\u00a0 Simply great!\u00c2\u00a0 I don&#8217;t have to remember login information anymore.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/agilewebsolutions.com\/products\/1Password\">1Password<\/a> &#8211; I believe I was first introduced to 1Password through a MacHeist and it&#8217;s great.\u00c2\u00a0 1Password &amp; SplashID both hold and generate passwords.\u00c2\u00a0 But 1Password has one feature that makes it so valuable to me, integration with Firefox &amp; Safari.\u00c2\u00a0 This is incredible.\u00c2\u00a0 I hate working on machines without the integration.\u00c2\u00a0 This makes logging into sites so much easier!\u00c2\u00a0 I have 1Password Pro for my iPhone as well and use the copy &amp; paste all the time.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iggsoftware.com\/ibank\/\">iBank<\/a> &#8211; I track all of my expenses using iBank.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been using it for years and I love it.\u00c2\u00a0 I know exactly how much money is in my accounts.\u00c2\u00a0 I upgraded to iBank3 so that I can sync with an app on my iPhone.\u00c2\u00a0 Now I know exactly how much is in each of my accounts where ever I am.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.delicious-monster.com\/\">Delicious Library<\/a> &#8211; We have a lot of movies, video games and CD&#8217;s in my house and with Delicious Library on my MacBook and iPhone I know exactly what we have and the format.\u00c2\u00a0 This has saved us a lot of time and money with possibly rebuying something we already own but haven&#8217;t seen in awhile.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/notespark.com\/\">Notespark<\/a> &#8211; This online and iPhone application is my shopping list lifeline.\u00c2\u00a0 I can edit a list from any machine connected to the internet or my iPhone.\u00c2\u00a0 Updates made in one place are synced up next time I access the application from the other location.\u00c2\u00a0 This makes the additions to the shopping list that I think of right before bed easy to capture!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Analog<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.moleskine.com\/\">Moleskine<\/a> &#8211; I keep a Pocket sized Moleskine inside my handbag at all times.\u00c2\u00a0 Right now it&#8217;s a Pocket Ruled notebook.\u00c2\u00a0 I normally use the Pocket Squared, but I&#8217;m trying something different.\u00c2\u00a0 I jot down little reminders to myself or items to add to a list later.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;ve gotten very proficient typing on my iPhone but it&#8217;s still often faster to add it to my Moleskine.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.levenger.com\/PAGETEMPLATES\/NAVIGATION\/Products.asp?Params=category=326|level=2|pageid=1749\">Circa<\/a> &#8211;
